How long will the wood flooring sale last, and are there any specific dates or deadlines?

Our Wood Flooring sale runs separately to any other sale we have, with each flooring type being added manually, the price displayed, is the price you pay.

From time to time, we may have additional sales, however, these will have specific terms and conditions. For the most part, any flooring displayed below in our sale flooring will be available while stocks last, or at our discretion.

Wear Layer (Engineered Wood Flooring Only)

Wear Layer

If you’re buying flooring from our Engineered Wood Flooring Sale it’s important to understand wear layers. The wear layer (or ‘top layer’ as it’s also known) is a layer of real wood such as oak or walnut which sits on top of each flooring board. This wear layer is what makes engineered wood identical to solid wood flooring when laid.

Thicker wear layers, whilst generally more expensive, offer a greater level of durability with the option to sand and refinish more often.

Most engineered wood floors, regardless of flooring thickness or wear layer will provide years of use and retain their stunning finish when maintained properly.

Sanding Guide

In most cases, sanding the top layer of engineered wood flooring will remove up to 1mm of surface, with a minimum of 1mm leftover for protection. As a rough guide, here’s the number of times a floor can be sanded, based on the initial wear layer thickness:

3mm: 1-2 times
4mm: 2-3 times
5mm: 3-4 times
6mm: 4-5 times
