While traditional laminate flooring is not fully waterproof, many modern options are water-resistant, making them suitable for kitchens, hallways, or cloakrooms. These ranges feature tighter locking systems and improved surface coatings that repel moisture for a limited time — usually 24–72 hours.
That said, laminate still isn’t recommended for bathrooms or wet rooms where standing water is common. For full waterproof protection, consider switching to LVT flooring or choosing water-resistant laminate flooring with a high AC rating.
